Course Delivery

The Ph.D. in Health Sciences program utilizes a hybrid (blended) course delivery format. That is, courses will be delivered using both synchronous and asynchronous online components as well as periodic face-to-face (f2f) meetings.

Each of the seven core courses will be introduced in a f2f session that is scheduled for the start of the semester. In addition, the f2f sessions in the Program’s Residency Weekend will create an opportunity for faculty and students to articulate the link between completed coursework, upcoming coursework and materials from Individual Programs of Study (IPS). These f2f sessions seek to foster the integration of all of the components of the doctoral program as a whole as well as reinforce the inter-professional nature of the program. They are also designed to encourage students to identify with other students in the cohort.

Please refer to the suggested schedule to see what the typical schedule for a part-time or full-time student might look like.
