Accelerated B.S. in Rehabilitation and Disability Services to M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling

Our Accelerated B.S. in Rehabilitation and Disability Services to M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling program allows you to complete both degrees in less time. With this program, you begin taking graduate courses during your senior year of undergraduate studies and have up to 12 credits count toward both your graduate degree and your undergraduate degree. It's efficient, cost-effective and an excellent way to get a head start on your career goals.

With your M.S. in rehabilitation counseling, you'll be well-prepared for professional roles helping enhance the lives of people with disabilities. You'll also take the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor exam before you graduate, which qualifies you to apply for professional counseling licensure.

For details, please email Amanda McCarthy, Ed.D., at amccarthy@niu.edu.

Rehabilitation and disability services majors with a 3.25 GPA are eligible. You must have 96 credits before starting the program. Please speak with your academic advisor as early as possible. You are encouraged to apply during your junior year.
