The following are the NIU DI program goals with expected outcome and target measures. In parentheses are the current 5 year actual outcomes.
To prepare individuals at the graduate level who are competent to practice in the profession of nutrition and dietetics upon program completion.
To prepare capable entry-level dietitians for productive employment in a community nutrition and/or health promotion setting. Data not available yet.
The program will coordinate graduate course work with supervised practice experience to result in simultaneous completion of the DI and M.S. degree.
